How to use the HWP Editor

An online HWP editor for when you receive a Hangul document on a Mac, a work PC or a Chromebook without Hancom Office. The editor opens as soon as you add a file.

  1. Choose an HWP or HWPX file to open the text editor.
  2. Edit the text and tables, then adjust the formatting you need.
  3. Download as HWPX, Word or PDF. HWP originals are saved as HWPX.

What you can do

  • Edit text and change bold, italic, underline, size, colour and highlight.
  • Set heading styles, fonts, alignment, line spacing and indents.
  • Edit text inside tables and insert pictures.
  • Find and replace across the whole document.

Save formats

  • Hangul (.hwpx) opens in Hancom Office 2014 or later. An original .hwp is saved as .hwpx.
  • Word (.docx) and PDF are also available.

Good to know

  • Text boxes and complex layouts may shift slightly in the saved file.
  • Free accounts can save edited documents twice a day; viewing and editing are unlimited.
