About Bakooda
Bakooda takes its name from "bakkuda," the Korean word for "to change," and is a document conversion service. It helps you open Hangul (Hancom Office) documents (HWP, HWPX) on a Mac, a phone or a PC abroad without Hangul, convert them to Word, PDF or images, and, the other way around, turn Word and PDF files into Hangul files.
Why we don't send files to a server
Documents often contain sensitive information such as names, contact details and Korean resident registration numbers. Bakooda processes every conversion inside your browser and does not send document files to a server. The server stores only a count for the daily usage limit, plus login and payment information.
